What is
Equestrian of the Year?

Equestrian of the year is a Hoofbeat event  each summer with 6 areas of competition.  They are horsemanship, horse judging, public speaking, demonstrations, hippology stations, and a written knowledge quiz.
Top 4 areas scores are totaled for placings.
Each area top score is given a ribbon for
1st place.
The top total scores in each age division will be given a director's chair with reserve person getting
a trophy.
There are 3 age divisions:
Junior Grades 3-5
Intermediate  Grades 6-8
Senior  Grades 9-13
Horsemanship and horse judging are held at the County Horse Show with the other areas at the County Fair.
